Ibiza's secret hiking trails through pine and red earth

Beyond the beach clubs lies a wild island of coastal paths, hidden coves and Sabina pine forests. Here's where to lace up your boots.

Ibiza has more than 200 km of marked trails, and almost no crowds on them. Step off the coastal road and within minutes you're in pine forest, red-earth ravines, and limestone cliffs that drop straight into turquoise water.

Our favourite stretches: the north coast from Portinatx to Cala Xarraca, the wild interior around Sant Joan, and the dramatic cliffs of the Cap de Llentrisca peninsula.

Bring water, start early, and don't underestimate the heat. The island is small but the sun is not, sunrise and golden hour are when the trails come alive.
